Things that haven't been moved from the old site

This xLog site is considered my second long-term blog, and it had a self-built WordPress in its previous life, but due to some later events, it eventually underwent a rebirth here.

I have moved all the technology sharing content here to enrich the new site.

However, the diary and essay part, which is considered the soul, did not obtain a ticket to the new world.

At that time, I thought my writing style was immature, and it was mostly about expressing emotions rather than opinions (which is indeed the case now).

I tried to preserve a few fragments as a personal historical proof.

I set the publication date of this blog post on August 16th, the day when the server and internal data expired.

Of course, there is still a full backup, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to see this post.

The following is the original text, only for commemoration and has no practical significance. "Italicized content is from comments on the old site and has been blurred."

It's much harder to manage others than to manage oneself. The previous unpleasant experiences have fully demonstrated this point.

After leaving, meaningless social interactions decreased significantly (but we still need truly valuable social interactions and alternatives to seek).

Q group social interactions are closed to the outside and rely on small circles for warmth, which improves internal stability and the quality of social interactions.

However, it still lacks a lot of freedom and has not escaped the inevitable flaws of centralized management. So I turned to self-hosted websites.

Self-hosted websites are free and open, relying on blog social interactions formed by RSS aggregation and friend links, which was my first choice at that time.

However, a decentralized social system based on personal blogs was never established, perhaps due to technical requirements, or more likely, the trouble it brings.

Then, as always, the stagnant reality drained my time and energy.

I only have a few hours of free time each day, and I have to use it hesitantly.

It's getting late, I'm going to sleep, my friend.

Goodnight, sweet dreams.

October 24, 2023, midnight.

The advantage of personal groups is that they are more loving, right?

The key point of QQ groups is actually centralized administrators. This private group can be established because of the group owner, and the people in this group can contact each other because of the group owner—it is essentially a collection of personal friend circles.

As for other things, as long as there is love, everything can be overcome.jpg

In any case, leaving is always a good thing. The severe pathological trend and the difficulty of supporting healthy social needs at a young age.

And from my own observation just now, XXX has not yet overcome the problem of managing personal emotions. However, XXX is just those two and a half people, whether it is personalized or not doesn't matter.

I still have no hope for the future of communities.

Am I catching up with the live broadcast? (((

Actually, personally, the platform I idealize is decentralized, spontaneously formed, and has some kind of communal nature.

I can tolerate the emptiness of the community, but I cannot accept the "tyranny" of management teams based on emotions.

For me, freedom is more important than anything else.

As for QQ groups, they are mainly organized by the group owner, and the members are more like passive participants or followers.

Relying on the group owner, contacting each other, it's just a comparison, well...

And self-hosted websites, either time-consuming or costly, or both. There aren't many people who still insist on doing this now.

I find it troublesome myself, and the price is a bit high (at least acceptable).

Still looking for alternatives, recently I have been interested in xlog.app—a decentralized blogging platform based on blockchain and IPFS.

I'll tinker with it when I have time...

The answer is that your interesting points make me come and take a look sometimes.

I feel that QQ groups and platforms are fundamentally different. They are indeed built around individuals—very comfortable and peaceful.jpg

It's just right for retirement.

My personal idea is to temporarily remove permissions when there are emotional issues in management, let them calm down, and restore permissions after the matter is over.

Oh, I just realized...

Treating the symptoms instead of the root cause.

In my opinion, small circles of mutual acquaintances are the most suitable groups on the internet to practice "ancient Greek democracy" because there is no direct interest involved in reality.

You're right, but if everyone has this awareness, the United Nations might have been realized long ago.

There are three types of people studying humanities:

  • Those whose science scores are not good.
  • The wealthy who come to cultivate their sentiments.
  • Those who take literature, history, and philosophy as spiritual sustenance.

So, I started reading, trying to understand and explain the world with my own thinking.

This is what I call spiritual sustenance.

Rest time is not given by the school, but earned by students!

It's not the fault of us students, nor of a certain teacher or school. It's a problem with the entire education system. A distorted education can only cultivate a distorted next generation for our country.

I understand a truth: do not add entities without necessity.

Self-hosted websites are great, but I plan to migrate to a hosting platform within a month.

I don't consider myself part of the so-called "geek spirit" crowd. Saving energy and money and focusing on content is the top priority.

Speaking of which, it's best not to make any significant actions when emotions are running high.

I have returned to what it was before. It turns out that after all the fuss, I came back again.

Writing for the sake of writing, just like building this website for the sake of building.

I was chatting with a classmate before, and I said that I built this site just for the sake of tinkering, without knowing what to write about.

He suggested that I write some diaries or essays to record daily life in high school (writing novels was my first pass).

Although the monotonous high school life really doesn't have much to inspire spontaneous writing...

Lacking beauty, and even more so, lacking eyes to discover beauty.

But, I still want to give it a try and record the things happening around me.

Recording doesn't need to have great significance. I just want to leave a trace of my youth in this river of time.

When I look back in the future, I hope to smile knowingly. That's enough.

Thank you for reading this, thank you ⭐

My youth is only filled with mountains of books, and I hope it remains that way.
